“Maia offered sound immersion therapy for 70 carers at our 'Carers Wellbeing Day' on the Sunshine Coast. Many of these carers were highly stressed from the constant demands and pressures of caring for a loved one. This session was a new experience for them and many were overwhelmed by the deep feelings of peace and relaxation they felt during the beautiful therapeutic music.

The majority commented that they were initially unsure of what to expect but it had been the highlight of their day. One carer said he had tried many different techniques to achieve peace without success but that the power of the sounds reached him in a way he had never experienced before. Another comment was that it was most relaxed they had ever felt in their entire lives.

"About a week ago I had a cancer cut out of my collar bone and had nine stitches, with many more underneath. It has been really sore and red. About 15 minutes into the sound healing I started to feel it ping... stretching, then coming back in, then pinging across my chest, and I thought, 'this is interesting, I've never experienced this before.'

The pinging was in the rhythm of the sound when you were playing your handpan.*

As the sound journey started, I was also guided to do a Usui Tibetan ancient energy form of self healing.**

After the sound healing, I touched the wound and discovered I had about a 5 centimetre piece of stitching just sitting there in my fingertips. It had just come out by itself. The stitches were due to come out in a few more days, but they're out and it's healed. The colour is normal and there is no discomfort."

Three days later:

"I went to have my stitches out today. There were none left in and it had healed totally, can hardly see the scar. Maia, I was being renewed (operated on) through your sound journey.

All the doctors and nurses came in to witness for themselves and all are amazed. They all accepted and believed my story. Their dialysis nurse said she had been to one of your sound journeys too.

My excision was a positive basal cell carcinoma and they got it all. That's why it healed so quickly... with a bit of help! We have some very special people in our community Maia. Including you.

I am very happy to share miracles with you. It was very special. Feeling ☺️"
